How to Get Here
Should you travel by plane, your best bet is to fly into Stuttgart Airport (which is not that well connected but only a 50 minute bus ride away) or Frankfurt Airport (which is a two-hour train ride away but connected to virtually anywhere).
By car, use address “Sand 13, Tuebingen” to direct your navigation system.
From Stuttgart Airport
To get to Tübingen, use the Airport Sprinter (Bus Line 828), a direct bus connection that is served every hour. The airport bus stop is in front of Terminal 1. Tickets sold by the bus driver. Approximate travel time to Tübingen main station about 50 minutes.
From Frankfurt Airport
To get to Tübingen, take a high-speed train (ICE) of the Deutsche Bahn to Stuttgart, then change to a local train to Tübingen main station. Tickets sold by Deutsche Bahn (online or at the Frankfurt airport train station), approximate travel time two hours.
Once You Are Here (Local Map)
From Tübingen main station, you can easily walk into the city center or get to the Wilhelm-Schickard-Institut via Bus Line 2 (direction “Waldhäuser Ost”). You’ll find ticket machines in the bus (coins only!). Served every 30 minutes, get off at “Sand/Drosselweg”, travel time 10 minutes.
